Zensara Policies


Medical history

  1. We require clients to fill in a medical history before ALL treatments and we request that you advise us in advance if you have any medical conditions that may contraindicate treatments, or if you are pregnant.
  2. We do not wax or massage anyone undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatments.
  3. Our therapists reserve the right to refuse treatments to clients with questionable medical conditions, or for other reasons.

Children / mobiles

  1. Out of consideration for other clients, please let us know in advance if you need to bring your child (even a quiet child) so we can accommodate you away from other clients. There may be an additional charge for this.
  2. To be fair to other clients, please switch off your mobile phone or set it on vibrate.

Spa etiquette & safety

  1. For some treatments such as massage, brazilian waxing, bathing and spray tanning, it may be appropriate for clients to remove all articles of clothing. In the case of massage, clients will be appropriately covered with towels, and for bathing an optional modesty towel is available.
  2. For your safety and our legal protection, one of our staff must assist you to get in and out of the spa.
  3. For spa and sauna treatments, a staff member will check on you part way through your treatment to ensure you are comfortable and not feeling too hot, or light-headed.
  4. Zensara does not encourage relationships between its employees/contractors and clients outside the workplace.

Reserving appointments / arriving late / cancellations / packages

  1. Visa or mastercard is required to reserve ALL appointments. Alternatively, if you do not have a credit card or choose not to give us your credit card details, treatments can be pre-paid in person or a gift certificate issued for the treatment you wish to have.
  2. As we work on an appointment basis, if you arrive late, the treatment fee remains the same and we will still finish on time to be fair to other clients and to allow time for preparation of other treatments.
  3. We require a minimum of 24 hours cancellation notice for all treatments, otherwise 50% of the treatment fee will be charged if the appointment is cancelled during our regular day time trading hours, and 100% outside of our regular trading hours - Mondays, week nights after 6pm, and on weekends and public holidays. On Mondays and public holidays, treatments must be pre-paid, and even if 24 hours cancellation notice is given, a cancellation fee may still be applicable. This policy also applies to gift certificates, pre-paid treatments, and treatment cards.
  4. All packages, and treatments for two or more people must be prepaid.

Prices / call out fees & surcharges

  1. Prices are subject to change, without notice.
  2. On occasions, our staff are willing to do treatments outside their normal working hours. However, a call-out fee applies to cover their travel time and expenses, and an hourly surcharge to subsidise their overtime, which applies not only to the treatment itself, but for the time involved in preparation and clean up.

No refunds / faulty products

  1. Products, treatments, classes and workshops are non-refundable.
  2. Faulty products must be returned within seven days of purchase for an exchange, which will be at Zensara’s discretion.
